Yoshitake TSD-42 and TSD-42F are steam traps featuring a cast stainless steel (SCS2A) body and a SUS420J2 stainless steel disc. The bimetal ring solves air-binding problems and ensures smooth discharge of cold condensate or air at start-up. Designed for a maximum temperature of 425°C and working pressures up to 4.2 MPa, they can be applied in various heavy, light, and general industries. A built-in strainer eliminates the need for an upstream strainer. They can be installed vertically or horizontally as desired.

Discharge Capacity

To select the nominal size, secure a safety factor of 4 to 5. Consider the back pressure in selecting discharge capacity based on the operating differential pressure.

Installation

Precaution for installation

To discharge condensate to the atmosphere, lead the outlet to a place where there is no possibility of physical damage. Before connecting, remove foreign substances and scale from the piping.

Structure and Maintenance

Disassembly and Reassembly

Do not disassemble unless necessary. Completely discharge internal pressure and cool down the product prior to maintenance.
