BURKERT 574247 Type 8202 pH/ORP Transmitter

Burkert Type 8202 compact pH and ORP transmitter. Available in ELEMENT standard and neutrino variants with 4-20 mA, IO-Link, or büS communication.

BURKERT 574247 Type 8202 pH/ORP Transmitter

Burkert Type 8202 is a compact device for measuring the pH value in clean, dirty, sulphide- or protein-containing liquids or for measuring the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) value in clean, dirty, sulphide- or protein-containing liquids as well as liquids that have a low conductivity. Due to the measuring device’s design, installation and maintenance work is simplified.

BURKERT 574247 Burkert Type 8202 pH/ORP transmitter variants

The device is available in two variants:

  • ELEMENT standard: Proposed with either three adjustable outputs (two digital outputs and one analogue output) or four adjustable outputs (two digital and two analogue), and can be equipped with a display. The display is required for start-up, configuration, and process value display.
  • ELEMENT neutrino: A 2-wire device without a display, equipped either with a 4...20 mA current output or with a digital communication mode via IO-Link or büS (Bürkert system bus based on CANopen).

General Technical Data

The complete measurement device consists of a replaceable standard 120 mm pH or ORP probe (Type 8203 recommended) and the pH or ORP transmitter Type 8202. The process connection of both variants is made via a G 1 1/2" nut in PVC or PVDF.

WARNING

The fluid temperature may be restricted by the probe used and the fitting used. If the specific temperature limits for the probe used and the temperature limits of the device are different, the narrower temperature limits are valid.

Installation Notes

BURKERT 574247 Burkert Type 8202 installation with S022 adapter

The ELEMENT pH/ORP transmitter Type 8202 can be installed into any adapter with G 1 1/2" external threaded sensor connection by just fixing the union nut. Select the appropriate adapter, taking into account the specific requirements of the measuring device and the adapter material (temperature and pressure), and install it in a vertical position or with an angle of ± 75° max. relative to the vertical on a horizontal pipe.

TIP

Please ensure that the mounting location provides a continuous and complete immersion of the probe in the flow stream. The probe must be continuously immersed into the measuring fluid in order to protect it from drying out.
