Yoshitake GP-1000SS Pressure Reducing Valve for Steam

Yoshitake GP-1000SS pilot-operated pressure reducing valve for steam. Features stainless steel wetted parts, 0.1-1.0 MPa inlet pressure, and JIS 10K FF flanged connection.

Yoshitake GP-1000SS Pressure Reducing Valve for Steam

The Yoshitake GP-1000SS is a pilot-operated pressure reducing valve designed for steam applications. It features stainless steel wetted parts for improved corrosion resistance and a spherical main valve that offers excellent sealability, greatly reducing valve seat leakage (compliant with ANSI Class IV). The GP-1000AS model features all-stainless steel construction.

Operation

Yoshitake GP-1000SS structure diagram

The pressure-reducing valve reduces pressure by throttling the valve. The valve is composed of the main valve and main valve seat for throttling, and adjusting spring, diaphragm, pilot valve, and piston for pressure sensing and activation.

Installation Precautions

WARNING

  • Because of heavy weight, hold the valve with lifting equipment while piping.
  • In case installing a safety valve as a safety device at the outlet side, joint the relief pipe at the outlet of the safety valve and guide it to a safe place where steam can relieve out.

TIP

  • Install a strainer (80 mesh) at the valve inlet side.
  • Install a pressure gauge at both the inlet and outlet sides of the valve.
  • Install a steam trap to the inlet side of the valve to prevent drainage problems.
  • When the pressure-reducing ratio is large, install a reducer to keep the flow velocity in the pipe below 30 m/s.
