Yoshitake DS-10F flanged all-stainless steel drain separator for steam and air. Baffle type design handles up to 2.0 MPa and 220°C. Sizes 15A to 65A.

The Yoshitake DS-10F is a highly durable, all-stainless steel drain separator designed for steam, air, and other non-hazardous gases. Utilizing a simple baffle structure, it provides excellent condensate separation performance while its integral design reduces maintenance workload. Removing condensate from steam and gas improves fluid quality, prevents wear and erosion of piping equipment, and shortens equipment heating times by generating higher-heat-content steam.
When steam or air containing water droplets enters the drain separator, it collides with the internal baffle and the condensate is separated. Heavier condensate and particles fall downward and are guided to the drain discharge port. Meanwhile, dry steam or air flows through the upper part of the baffle and exits from the outlet side. A hood is installed at the upper part of the inlet and the lower part of the outlet to prevent splashing of the condensate and reduce its flow to the secondary side.

To use the drain separator most effectively, select a drain separator with the same nominal diameter as the piping. If a smaller nominal diameter is used, the pressure loss will increase, and the required pressure may not be maintained.

Piping Preparation
When installing the product, be sure to remove foreign matter and scale inside the piping. Ensure that seal tape or liquid sealant does not enter the piping to prevent malfunction.
Carry out a periodic self-inspection once every year to check for external leakage.
| Problem | Cause | Remedy |
|---|---|---|
| Fluid leaks from outside | Leak from plug | Remove the plug, replace the plug or seal tape with a new one, and reassemble |
| Fluid leaks from the body | Replace the product | |
| Poor condensate separation | Flow velocity in the pipe is too high | Review piping so the flow velocity complies with limits |
| Installation direction is incorrect | Reinstall the piping correctly | |
| The baffle is damaged | Replace the product |
Disassembly Safety
When disassembling, confirm that the pressure inside the product and piping has been reduced to atmospheric pressure. If the fluid is at a high temperature, allow the product body to cool until it can be touched with bare hands. Residual pressure or high temperature may cause injury or burns.
