BURKERT 63109 Type 0331 Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve

BURKERT Type 0331 (SKU 63109) direct-acting media-separated pivoted armature solenoid valve. Features 4mm orifice, brass body, flange connection, 24V DC, and FKM seal for 0-5 bar.

BURKERT 63109 Type 0331 Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve

BURKERT Type 0331 (Article No. 63109) is a direct-acting, media-separated pivoted armature solenoid valve. It is available as a 2/2 and 3/2-way variant. The solenoid coils are moulded with a chemically resistant epoxy. Since the coil system is separated from the medium by a diaphragm, the valve is especially suitable for critical media such as aggressive acids and lyes. The 0331 is equipped with a manual override for start-up and testing. The specific 63109 configuration features a 4.0 mm orifice, brass body, FKM seal, flange connection, and operates on 24 V DC.

Installation & Safety

DANGER!

Risk of injury from high pressure in the system/device ▶ Before working on equipment or device, switch off the pressure and deaerate/drain lines.

Risk of injury from electric shock ▶ Before working on the system or device, switch off the power supply and secure against reactivation. ▶ Observe the applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for electrical devices.

WARNING!

Risk of injury due to improper installation ▶ Installation may only be performed by trained technicians and with the appropriate tools. ▶ Secure the system against unintentional activation. ▶ Ensure a controlled restart after installation.

Before Installation

  • Installation position: The installation position is flexible. Preferably: actuator at the top.
  • Dirt trap: For safe operation of the solenoid valve, a dirt trap (≤ 500 µm) must be installed before the valve inlet.

Manual Override

When the manual override is locked, the valve cannot be electrically actuated.

BURKERT 63109 Type 0331 manual override operation

  1. Press and hold the manual override.
  2. Turn manual override clockwise to lock.

Electrical Connection

DANGER!

There is a risk of electric shock if the protective conductor is not connected. ▶ Connect protective conductor and check electrical continuity between coil and body.

Standard Device Connection:

  1. Connect L1/+ and N/– to terminals 1 and 2 independently of the polarity.
  2. Connect the protective conductor.
  3. Attach valve seat and check that it fits properly.
  4. Screw the cable plug (Type 2518 or 2509 in accordance with DIN EN 175301-803, Design A) in place, observing the maximum torque of 1 Nm.
  5. Check electrical continuity between coil and body (protective conductor function).
