Burkert 559610 (Type 8222) is a compact conductivity transmitter featuring a C=1.0 cm-1 cell constant, Pt1000 temperature probe, and 4-20 mA output.

Burkert 559610 (Type 8222) is a compact conductivity meter designed for measuring the conductivity of liquids. This ELEMENT standard variant is equipped with a two-electrode cell featuring a cell constant of C = 1.0 cm-1 and an integrated Pt1000 temperature probe. The sensor utilizes graphite electrodes and a PVDF probe holder, making it suitable for clean water and slightly concentrated liquids such as industrial wastewater. The device provides three adjustable outputs, including two transistor outputs (NPN/PNP) and one 4...20 mA analogue output, operating on a 14...36 V DC power supply.
The conductivity sensor is plugged-in and pinned to the transmitter enclosure. The process connection is made via a G 1 1/2 union nut in PVC, designed for installation in a Burkert Type S022 adapter.

The device converts the measuring signal and calculates the output signals, providing continuous measurement of both conductivity and temperature.
WARNING
The fluid temperature is restricted by the fluid pressure and the material of the union nut. For the 559610 model with a PVC union nut, the maximum fluid temperature is +50 °C at a maximum pressure of PN 16.

The Type 8222 conductivity meter can be installed into any adapter or fitting with a G 1 1/2 external threaded sensor connection by tightening the union nut. The mounting location must provide a continuous and complete immersion of the probe in the flow stream. Air bubbles must be avoided to obtain reliable measurements.
