BURKERT 20137400 2920 Manual 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert Type 2920 manually operated 2/2-way angle seat valve. Features high flow rates, a robust plastic actuator, and a stainless steel body for pressures up to 25 bar.

BURKERT 20137400 2920 Manual 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert Type 2920 angle seat valve consists of a manual actuator and a 2-way body made of high-quality stainless steel. With a flow-optimised valve body, the manually operated valve offers diverse usage options to shut off both neutral and aggressive gaseous and liquid media. The tried-and-tested self-adjusting packing gland guarantees optimal tightness and therefore enables low-maintenance operation, even at high switching cycles. Depending on the application, the soft PTFE or PEEK seal ensures a reliable valve seat seal, even under challenging operating conditions.

The actuator is made of high-quality plastic and is suitable for use in demanding environments. It possesses a visual position indicator and can be optionally equipped with stroke limitation and locking.

Performance Specifications

Operating Limits

In addition to the maximum operating pressures, the operating range of Burkert process valves is limited by the nominal pressure according to the relevant standard.

  • High-temperature variant: Suitable for applications with steam, neutral gases and other heat transfer medium up to +230 °C.
  • Water variant: For applications with water up to +200 °C, a special configuration of the packing gland increases service life significantly.
  • Drinking water variant: Materials comply with UBA assessment principles for drinking water up to +85 °C.
  • Low-temperature variant: Suitable for minimum medium temperatures down to -40 °C.

Installation and Operation

Risk of injury due to high pressure and escaping medium

Switch off the pressure before working on the device or system. Vent or drain the lines.

Position Indicator

BURKERT 20137400 Burkert 2920 position indicator and stroke scale

When turning the handwheel anticlockwise, the reproducible stroke scale becomes visible between the position indicator and the handwheel. The scale on the handwheel determines the rotation position of the handwheel (50 positions).

Flow Direction

The valve seat is always closed against the medium flow. The flow direction should therefore be set such that the valve reaches the flow beneath the valve seat.

Set Stroke Limit

Setting the minimum and maximum stroke limit is possible as an option. An adjusting sleeve is used for this purpose.

BURKERT 20137400 Burkert 2920 setting the stroke limit

  1. Screw on handwheel
  2. Square
  3. Adjusting sleeve

Lock Handwheel

It is also an option to lock the handwheel to prevent unintentional or unauthorised operation of the valve. The locking pin has a bore (Ø 3.8) and can be secured against unauthorised use with a padlock.

BURKERT 20137400 Burkert 2920 locking the handwheel

Push locking pin down and rotate by 180° (either clockwise or anticlockwise). Insert padlock through the bore in the locking pin and secure.
