BURKERT 20121296 (Type 2000) Pneumatically Operated 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert 20121296 (Type 2000) pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve is designed for the controlled flow of liquid and gaseous media. This specific model features a stainless steel body with a weld end connection, a PA (Polyamide) actuator, and an FKM (Fluor rubber) seat seal. It operates with Control Function B (normally open) and is configured for flow below the seat.

Product Design and Features

The externally piloted angle seat valve is operated with a single or double-acting piston actuator. High flow rates of up to 40 m³/h for the DN 40 size are attained with the virtually straight flow path.

  • High sealing integrity: Provided by a self-adjusting packing gland with PTFE V-rings and spring compensation.
  • Robust construction: Built with a maintenance-free PA actuator and a stainless steel body.
  • Flexible installation: The control air connection can be rotated steplessly through 360° for optimal alignment.
  • Visual monitoring: Equipped with an optical position indicator under a transparent cover.

Control Function and Flow Direction

This valve is configured for Control Function B (CF B) and flow below the seat.

Burkert 20121296 Type 2000 Control Function BControl function B (CF B): Pneumatically operated 2/2-way on/off valve, flow direction below seat, normally opened by spring force.

Flow inlet under seat: As the medium pressure is under the pendulum disc, this pressure contributes to the opening of the valve. The flow inlet is under the valve seat.

WARNING

For control function B, a too low control pressure may result in leaks. Observe the minimum control pressure requirements.

Installation and Maintenance

  • Installation Position: The valve can be installed in any position, preferably with the actuator face up.
  • Preparation: Before connecting the valve, ensure the pipelines are flush and stress-free. Clean pipelines of sealing material and swarf.
  • Welding: For welded housings, the actuator must be removed from the valve housing before welding it into the pipeline system.
  • Maintenance: The actuator of the angle seat valve is maintenance-free. Parts subject to natural wear include the pendulum disc and the graphite seal.
