Yoshitake TA-2C Air Vent Valve with Nylon 11 Coating

The Yoshitake TA-2C Air Vent Valve is designed for building equipment, industrial equipment, and building complexes. It is essential for air conditioning systems, as the ingress of air into the piping system causes a decrease in heat efficiency, noise generation, or corrosion of devices. Equipped with a quick exhaust mechanism, the TA-2C can greatly reduce the time required for water supply by exhausting large amounts of air inside the piping at the time of initial water supply much more quickly than conventional air vent valves.

Features

  • Quick Exhaust Mechanism: Air inside piping can be quickly discharged at the time of initial water supply, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Nylon 11 is coated on the inside and outside surfaces of the body, providing superior corrosion resistance.
  • Reliable Sealing: No leakage from the valve due to the synthetic rubber used for the valve seat.
  • Wide Pressure Range: Applicable from low to high pressure (0.01 - 1.0 MPa).
  • Easy Maintenance: Parts are easy to replace, maintain, and inspect from the outside even if the valve seat surface is damaged during long-term operation.

Nylon 11 Coating Characteristics

The TA-2C utilizes a Nylon 11 coating (white) for the inside and outside of the body and cover. This provides several key advantages:

  • Low water absorption and excellent wear resistance.
  • Very good seawater resistance and critical atmosphere resistance.
  • Outstanding outdoor weather resistance.
  • Fine heat and hot water resistance.
  • Applicable to food-related equipment because it is nontoxic (FDA accepted).
  • Great chemical resistance.
  • Superb electric insulation and sound damping performance.

Operation

  1. Before water flowing: The float is in a low position and the floating valve is opened. Yoshitake TA-2C operation before water flowing

  2. During water flowing: When water starts to flow into the valve, air inside the piping is pushed by water and exhausted out through the quick exhaust hole. Yoshitake TA-2C operation during water flowing

  3. Water flowing is completed: The float is pushed up by water flowing into the product, and the valve connected with the float is closed. Yoshitake TA-2C operation when water flowing is completed

  4. Air commingling: When air flows into the product, the float is lowered immediately, and at the same time the valve is lowered, allowing air to be exhausted out through the quick air vent hole. Yoshitake TA-2C operation during air commingling

Installation and Maintenance

Precautions for Operation

  • Install the product perpendicularly in a place where air is likely to gather. Failure to do so will prevent the product from functioning.
  • Before installing, remove foreign substances and scale from the piping to prevent malfunction.
  • When installing, tighten the hexagonal part of the body with a wrench. Do not overtighten, as this may deform the body and cause malfunction.
  • Lead the outlet side of the product to a safe place in case water leaks to avoid contaminating the surroundings.
  • Do not touch the product directly with bare hands in case of high-temperature fluid to avoid burns.

Installation Recommendations

  • Install a stop valve (cock or gate valve) at the air vent valve inlet for maintenance and inspection.
  • Leakage may occur due to foreign matter and scales inside the pipe. Install the pipe to the exhaust hole as shown in the diagram, and ensure the outlet end prevents back-flow to the drain.
  • When leakage occurs due to foreign matter, close the stop valve, remove the valve seat from the exhaust hole, and clean the valve.

Troubleshooting

TroubleCauseRemedy
Air cannot be exhausted.1. Stop valve at inlet side has been closed.
2. Piping pressure is above the optimum level.
1. Open the stop valve fully.
2. Reduce the piping pressure or replace the product with a model for high pressure.
Water outflows.1. Floating valve is stuck by foreign substance.
2. Floating valve is damaged.
3. Float is damaged and loses the specified function.
1. Disassemble the product and clean the floating valve.
2. Replace the floating valve.
3. Replace the float.
