TLV BV1 Stainless Steel Ball Valve

The TLV BV1 is a stainless steel full bore ball valve of three-piece design for steam, water, and air. It features tight gland sealing and a handle lock feature to prevent accidental operation. The valve seats are made of heat-resistant carbon fiber-filled PTFE, and the stem is double-sealed with a heat-resistant carbon fiber-filled PTFE gland and two FPM O-rings. All internal body surfaces are machined for optimal performance.

(Note: The manual also covers the BV1L, which is a reduced bore variant with a lower maximum operating temperature.)

Features

Handle Lock Feature

Allows the handle to be secured in the open/closed positions by sliding the handle lock plate into the valve body.

Installation & Operational Considerations

Installation

Before installing the product, blow out the piping to remove any piping scraps, dirt, oil and scale. Failure to do so may lead to damage caused by foreign matter. Do not remove the product from its package until just prior to installation.

Operation

Use only in the full open and full closed positions. Avoid using the product in a partially open position. Prolonged use in a partially open position may cause damage to the valve seat resulting in leaks.
