PF6 Stainless Steel Pneumatic Piston On/Off Angle Valve

Spirax Sarco PF6 Stainless Steel Pneumatic Piston On/Off Angle Valve features AISI 316L stainless steel body, suitable for steam, water, air, oil and gas applications. Available in three action modes: Normally Closed (NC), Normally Open (NO), and Bi-directional Normally Closed (BD). Equipped with 45mm, 63mm, and 90mm actuator sizes, supporting threaded, butt weld, flanged and other connection types. Operating temperature range -10°C to 190°C, excellent sealing performance, effective water hammer prevention, widely used in industrial fluid control systems.

Product Overview

Spirax Sarco PF6 Series Stainless Steel Pneumatic Piston On/Off Angle Valve is a two-port pneumatic control valve with AISI 316L stainless steel body, offering excellent corrosion resistance and structural strength. Suitable for steam, water, air, oil, gas and other industrial media. The valve operates via pneumatic signal driving the actuator piston, with spring return function. Standard models and models with flow regulator are equipped with position indicators for easy on-site valve status observation.

Action Mode Description

  • Normally Closed (NC): Fluid flows from above the seat (1-2), not suitable for applications where water hammer may occur
  • Normally Open (NO): Fluid flows from below the seat (2-1), suitable for liquids to prevent water hammer
  • Bi-directional Normally Closed (BD): For special liquid applications requiring bi-directional flow and water hammer prevention, fluid flows from below the seat (2-1), pressure should not exceed 1 bar g when fluid flows from above the seat (1-2)

Seal component kits are available for all valve sizes and actuators, including: piston lip seal, actuator O-ring, plug soft seal (PTFE), body seal and O-ring.

Ordering Information

  1. When ordering valves, specify valve size, model, connection type, actuator type, action mode, stem seal type and optional accessories (limit switch/flow regulator)
  2. When ordering spare parts, specify valve size, model and date code (located on actuator label, format example: 120 = week 12 of 2000)

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Notes

  • Valve can be installed in any orientation, actuator can rotate 360° for easy solenoid valve installation
  • Normally closed (NC) type should not be used where water hammer may occur
  • Bi-directional (BD) type: when fluid flows from above the seat (1-2), pressure should not exceed 1 bar g
  • For operation below -10°C, consult Spirax Sarco in advance
