Spirax Sarco Fig33.1 ductile iron Y-type strainer is a high-efficiency filtration device specifically designed for industrial fluid systems, featuring a ductile iron body with flange connection, robust and durable construction, adaptable to various operating requirements. The product fully complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC, ensuring safety and compliance. Standard configuration includes austenitic stainless steel filter mesh, while also providing Monel alloy mesh and other options, precisely matching different media filtration requirements. The cap can be drilled to install blowdown or discharge valves as needed, offering strong practicality.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Requirements

1. Must be installed on horizontal pipelines or vertical pipelines with downward flow direction according to the flow direction arrow on the body.
2. For horizontal pipelines used in steam or gas systems, the body must be kept horizontal; for liquid systems, the body must be installed vertically downward.
3. Suitable shut-off valves should be installed upstream and downstream of the strainer to facilitate subsequent maintenance and replacement operations.

Maintenance Instructions

1. Under strict compliance with safety operation procedures, the strainer can be directly maintained on the pipeline.
2. Regularly check the cleanliness of the filter mesh, clean impurities in time to avoid clogging affecting flow efficiency.
3. During maintenance, shut-off valves upstream and downstream must be closed first, ensuring system pressure is completely released before operation.

Disposal Standards

This product is recyclable. When properly disposed of according to industrial waste treatment standards, it will not cause environmental harm.
