Burkert 357601 (Type 6430) is a 3/2-way servo-assisted piston solenoid valve. Features normally open (NO) function, G 1/4 internal thread, brass body, NBR seal, 24V DC, and 1-16 bar pressure range.

BURKERT 357601 Burkert Type 6430 3/2-Way Servo-Assisted Solenoid Valve, Normally Open, G 1/4, 24V DC

BURKERT 357601 (Type 6430) is a servo-assisted 3/2-way piston valve. If the valve is not supplied with auxiliary pilot air, a minimum differential pressure is required for the function. This specific model features a normally open (NO) circuit function, G 1/4 internal thread, brass body, and NBR seals, operating at 24V DC within a pressure range of 1 to 16 bar.

The Type 6430 is equipped with a manual override for start-up or manual operation. To reduce electrical power consumption during operation, it utilizes a maintenance-free, media-separated 3/2-way pivoted armature valve Type 0331 as a pilot valve. In combination with a plug to DIN EN 175301 – 803 Form A, the valve satisfies degree of protection IP65.

Installation

Risk of injury from high pressure and electric shock

  • Before loosening lines and valves, switch off the pressure! Vent or empty the lines.
  • Before working on the device or system, switch off the power supply. Secure against reactivation.
  • Observe the applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for electrical devices.

Before installation:

  • Check pipelines for soiling and clean if required.
  • Install a dirt trap upstream of the valve inlet (≤ 500 µm).

Installation:

  • Any installation position, preferably actuator face up.
  • Ensure that the valve body is not installed twisted.
  • Ensure that seal material does not get into the device.
  • Hold the device on the body using an open-end wrench and screw into the pipeline. Do not use the solenoid as a lever arm.

Manual Override

When manual override is locked, the valve can no longer be electrically actuated.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

WARNING

Maintenance may be carried out by authorised technicians only and with the appropriate tools. Secure the system against unintentional activation.

Valve does not switch:

  • Short-circuit or coil interrupted
  • Inadequate power supply
  • Interior of the valve soiled
  • Medium pressure outside the permitted pressure range
  • Manual override locked
  • Not enough differential pressure available

Valve does not close:

  • Interior of the valve soiled
  • Manual override locked
  • Not enough differential pressure available
