Burkert 356531 Type 2103 is an externally controlled diaphragm valve consisting of a pneumatically operated piston actuator, a diaphragm, and a 2-way valve body. The proven and robust actuator with a stainless steel housing ensures reliable use in hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-efficient valve bodies with little dead space enable high flow rates and a wide range of possible uses. The actuator has a compact, autoclavable design with a large stainless steel housing and gap-free seals.

This specific model features a stainless steel body with a weld end connection (DN 15), an EPDM high-temperature diaphragm, and operates with a control function A (normally closed). It is designed for a nominal pressure of 0 to 10 bar and medium temperatures ranging from -10 °C to 143 °C.

Explosion Hazard due to Electrostatic Discharge

  • Take appropriate measures to ensure that no electrostatic charge can build up in the potentially explosive area.

  • If a plastic valve body is used, ground the actuator separately.

Special Conditions for Grounding:

  1. Ground the valve body: To establish potential equalization, ground the valve body to the piping system using a conductive connection.
  2. Exposed metal parts: Exposed metal parts not integrated into the valve's potential equalization (PA) must be incorporated into the PA by the customer via an additional PA connection.
  3. Ground conductive parts: Conductive parts must be grounded separately using a grounding strap clip or grounding terminal.
