Burkert 339808 Type 2032 pneumatic T-diaphragm valve. Features a stainless steel body, 1 1/2 inch clamp connection, PPS actuator, and advanced PTFE/EPDM diaphragm for 0-10 bar and -5 to 143 °C.

Burkert 339808 Type 2032 is a pneumatically operated T-diaphragm valve designed for hygienic and aggressive ambient conditions. This specific model features a stainless steel T-body with a 1 1/2 inch (DN40) ASME BPE clamp connection, an advanced PTFE diaphragm with an EPDM backing, and a PPS (Polyphenylene sulphide) piston actuator. It operates under Control Function A (normally closed) and handles medium pressures from 0 to 10 bar and temperatures from -5 °C to 143 °C.
The externally controlled diaphragm valve Type 2032 consists of a pneumatically operated piston actuator, a diaphragm, and a T-valve body. The actuator with a plastic housing ensures use in hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-efficient valve bodies with little dead space enable high flow rates and a wide range of possible uses. The actuator has a compact, autoclavable design (PPS variant).
This valve operates with Control Function A (CF A): Pneumatically operated T-valve, normally closed by spring force in the rest position.

The diaphragms have been developed to meet the unique challenges of hygienic and sterile requirements. The advanced PTFE/EPDM diaphragm complies with FDA, USP Class VI, and EC Regulation 1935/2004.

Maximum Permissible Operating Pressure For Control Function A with a PTFE diaphragm, the maximum static operating pressure is 10 bar.
Pilot Pressure
WARNING
Risk of bursting due to overpressure. Do not exceed the maximum permissible pilot pressure or maximum permissible operating pressure.
Installation Position The installation position can be any, but preferably with the actuator facing up. For leakage detection, one of the relief bores in the diaphragm bonnet must be at the lowest position.
Self-Draining Ensure the pipeline has an inclination angle of 1° to 5° to allow for automatic draining. The self-draining angle depends on the valve body size and port connection.
Tightening Torques for Body Connection When installing the actuator on the valve body, tighten the body screws crosswise in three stages (approx. 1/3, 2/3, and full torque). For PTFE diaphragms (DN40 / Diaphragm size 40), the tightening torque is 10 Nm (tolerance +10%).
