Burkert 20052166 Type 3360 electromotive angle seat control valve. Features up to 6 mm/s positioning speed, IP65/IP67 protection, and optional SAFEPOS energy-pack.

Burkert 20052166 Type 3360 is an innovative electromotive 2-way angle seat control valve designed for demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator, equipped with a ball screw, positions the control cone with the highest precision. A unique feature of this valve is its high positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s, allowing it to react almost delay-free to process signals. Pressure variations or shocks in the medium are not transferred to the valve position, ensuring stable and accurate control.

The actuator and valve are perfectly adapted to each other with a closed design and robust surface, meeting hygienic requirements for fast and residue-free cleaning. Harsh environments are easily handled thanks to the IP65/IP67 and NEMA 4X degree of protection, along with high impact and vibration resistance. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3360 provides helpful functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. If necessary, a safety position can be approached using the optional SAFEPOS energy-pack in the event of a power failure.

The electromotive linear drive consists of a brushless DC motor, a gear, and a spindle system that transfers the force to the closing element. The integrated control electronics are controlled either by standard signals or via a fieldbus (digital).

The position of the actuator (stroke) is controlled according to the position set-point value. The position set-point value is either given by an external standard signal (analogue) or via a fieldbus (digital). The displacement transducer records the actual position (POS) of the electric linear actuator. The positioner compares the actual position value with the position set-point value (CMD). If there is a system deviation, the electric motor drive is controlled via the actuating variable CTRL and the actual position value is changed accordingly.

DANGER
Risk of injury from high pressure. Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines.
WARNING
Risk of crushing due to mechanically moving parts. Perform installation and maintenance work only in the isolated state. For devices with SAFEPOS energy-pack: Completely drain the energy-pack and wait until the LED illuminated ring goes out.
Important information for the problem-free and safe functioning of the device: The sealing surface and cone contour of the control cone must not be damaged.

After mounting the actuator or replacing internal components, the X.TUNE function must be run to adjust the position control to the physical stroke of the actuating element.
WARNING
Danger due to uncontrolled process after running the X.TUNE function. If the X.TUNE is run under medium pressure, the controller will be incorrectly adjusted, resulting in an uncontrolled process. Never run the X.TUNE under medium pressure.
