BURKERT 20009797 Type 6213 Servo-Assisted 2/2-Way Solenoid Valve, ATEX/IECEx

BURKERT Type 6213 (SKU 20009797) is a servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm valve. The spring coupling of the diaphragm supports the opening process in the valve. A minimum differential pressure is required for full opening. This specific model features a stainless steel body, EPDM seal, and ATEX/IECEx explosion protection with a 3-meter molded cable, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Features

  • Servo-assisted diaphragm valve with a nominal diameter of DN 10
  • Spring coupled diaphragm supports the opening process
  • Damped design for low noise operation
  • High flow rate with a compact design
  • Explosion-proof ATEX/IECEx variant with molded cable

Installation and Safety

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before loosening lines or valves, switch off the pressure and vent the lines.

Risk of injury from electric shock

Before reaching into the device or the system, switch off the power supply and secure it against reactivation. Observe the applicable accident prevention and safety regulations for electrical devices.

Risk of injury due to improper installation

Installation must be carried out by authorised technicians only and with the appropriate tools. Secure the system against unintentional activation and ensure a controlled restart after installation.

Installation Approach:

  1. Clean pipelines of any contamination.
  2. Install a dirt trap upstream of the valve inlet (≤ 500 µm).
  3. Do not use the solenoid as a lever arm.
  4. Hold the device on the body using an open-end wrench and screw into the pipeline.
  5. Observe the flow direction: the arrow on the body indicates the flow direction.
