Armstrong Digital-Flo® Semi-Instantaneous Steam-to-Water Heater with SAGE® is a pre-piped water heating solution that integrates The Brain® Digital Recirculation Valve (DRV) for precise water temperature control in hot water systems. Designed specifically for continuous recirculation hot water systems, The Brain® improves system performance and safety by delivering a consistent, preset temperature to the point of use.
During each circulation cycle, the water is heated to a temperature above the survival threshold for Legionella bacteria, ensuring high-temperature sanitization. The system operates efficiently without the need for a separate steam control valve. It maintains user safety and overall system health through a series of programmable temperature alerts, onboard operational self-diagnostics, and high-temperature sanitization options.
The Digital-Flo® series is available in four standard sizes, featuring either single-wall or double-wall heat exchangers. Each configuration includes parallel/standby options and can be customized to meet specific requirements. The integrated SAGE® performance software monitors, records, and logs data, serving as a critical component of a water safety management program. SAGE® is compatible with various Building Automation System (BAS) protocols, or users can access it on mobile devices via a subscription service.
